Whenever you look at this artwork "ITALY DREAM" you can feel with all your senses the bright day, the crisp, clear air offering superb views of the sea and across the countryside to the mighty outline of nearby Mount Etna.
Summer in Mitkov's paintings is colourful, fiery, fomenting passions and emotions... It is the season of the sun, ocean waves, green forests and magnificent mountains. Summer is a tale of nature's beauty as God wished us to experience. Nature is now fully awaken, vigorous and full of life. The artist's paintings of summer can bring us the warmth of the shining sun and its vital transformative power.
The air is filled with the scent of grass and flowers. Hope is glowing in gleams of sunshine and inspires new dreams. What splendid paintings! Let there be summer!

This painting is included in Pavel Mitkov’s catalogue „Zen – Asia inspiration“ 2019. The storyline of the painting consists of three oil- bearing roses (Rosa Damascena – the well-known Bulgarian rose). The main element in the painting is the famous Bulgarian bridge in Koprivshtica “The first rifle”. Three typical for Bulgaria elements, that carry a massive energy load are presented on the canvas – roses, architecture from the national revival period, and gold. They are combined meticulously in a way that turns this painting into unique symbolic message.
When creating this canvas, the artist has used little golden sheets and golden dust. This was not just an esthetic choice, but a deliberate decision. Because the Koprivshtica region is rich in gold and the extract of the Rosa Damascena’s leaves – the rose oil, is often higher than the price of the gold itself. The bridge is a symbol of the transition from one world to another.
In the lower right corner there is a signature of the artist, together with the year of creating of the painting – 2018. In the lower left corner could be found the name of the painting.

In Paris one feels as if in a museum in the open. Paris is Art. A walk along the Seine river, the mystical Parisian night, stars which reflect on the water surface…. The magical atmosphere of the city imperceptibly goes on a long walk from Montmartre to Cartier. Passing through some of the most delightful Roman and medieval sculptures, old squares, beautiful parks, galleries, museums and mainly streets, streets….sooner or later you will end up in some cafe on the bridge Pont Neuf or in a designer store in Le Marais. Paris has everything, to make your dreams come true. An authentic and very earthly city, the modern and contemporary is in incomprehensible harmony with the rich culture and historical heritage, and as a final chord and something French, everything around is french… there is not time and there is no space, everything is here and now. Paris is one and unforgettable!
Paris is not only views, but real emotions and experiences. This city does not assume impassive photographing and curiosity towards history and culture. Paris is passion. Paris is the city of Molière, Baudelaire, Monet, Sartre, Bizet, Degas, George Sand...
All this magic is recreated in the paintings of Pavel Mitkov with magnetic power, which makes you look and experience for a long time until you feel like you are hearing the voice of Joe Dassin.

Flowers bring magic into this world. With their invigorating energy, they convey happiness, affection, warmth and love. And among all flowers - thriving in the wild or grown in gardens – the rose has a special place reserved.
Ever since ancient times, the rose has been deemed the queen of flowers. A mystery and charm, it is the symbol of joy, beauty, secrecy and silence, but above all of love.
Pavel Mitkov's roses have the magic that renders this flower so enchanting and kingly. Their magnetism is in the colourful combinations of rich and luscious tones since it is a true artist who can paint vivid images with life-like allure.
