President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos received an honorary doctorate from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for his contribution to the law on Tuesday, 15 December, day two of his state visit to Bulgaria.

Greek President discussed the European rule of law and the right of defence. He said Bulgaria and Greece have many things to do in the EU regarding the rule of law, and stressed its importance.
At the ceremony he received a gift from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences - Artwork by Pavel Mitkov with old Bulgarian house. The Artwork called “Paradise nook” was reminiscent of the very authentic Bulgarian identity and culture.
