"I am going home from my gallery in the Czech Republic with the last flight. I will be in 14-day isolation. I decided to make the most of my time with painting. This time – with you. We will dive into the art world together online for free. I will show my different techniques and approaches for oil painting. I also organized the opportunity for people to purchase drawing materials at preferential prices, which I arranged specifically for the campaign. They will be available for delivery and so we will plunge into a new reality together”, says Pavel Mitkov.
"Art can disarm fear," adds the artist on the recent events we are facing. According to him, now we must avoid panic and show common sense. Masks are something that artists use to protect themselves from the smell of turpentine and paints, and can also be used for creativity.
Pavel Mitkov also shared what prompted him to launch this initiative:
"While painting, one delves into the canvas in front of him and leaves behind his fears. Painting is a window to the world of creativity, and at the moment we all need such a window to a world in which things come out in a beautiful and positive way. The question for ourselves is where we will go at this moment - whether we will open the window to creativity or choose a dead end. Painting can make everyone enjoy a healthy time at home, create something nice for themselves, share it with their loved ones, and thus help the overall uplift at the moment. ”
However, positive thoughts are the most important, and according to Pavel Mitkov, painting can unite us by sharing art together.
